Veron: Kichi Kichi Ya Ya Ta Ta...

I joined Hubby for the Chin family 3rd generation gathering just now at the Kin San Kichi Japanese Restaurant, Sri Hartamas for a dinner. There were about 9 of us including Anne.

The Menu

3rd & 4th Generation of Chin Family

I told Hubby that it would very expensive to eat ala carte in a Japanese restaurant. Well, Hubby said that the portion is quite big and the price is quite reasonable. Hmm, let's see what we have ordered...

Edamame

Sashimi - Salmon

Variety of Sashimi

Tempura

Soft Shell Crab

Soba - My Favourite

Beef Soupy Soba

Beef Tepanyaki

Variety of Sushi

More Sushi

Unagi & Gyoza

Scallop Tepanyaki With Garlic Fried Rice

It might seemed as though there is enough food that we have ordered but I still did not feel the fullness in my stomach. Maybe I have a big appetite or my impression of having Japanese food for my meal is to eat a lot (I am used to visit Shogun Japanese Buffet Restaurant). I feel that the meal is not complete without...
  • Chawanmushi
  • Fried Eel
  • Baked Oyster
  • Baked Escargot
  • The Japanese Mini Octopus
  • Soups
  • Porridge
  • Macha Ice Cream
  • Cakes & Fruits
Err.. that sounds like buffet, isn't it? O.o

Veron: MTB-ing After 2 Years...

I went to FRIM for a short ride with Hubby and his friends. Well, tagged along 2 newbies (Khoo & Wong) and also Calvin. Khoo borrowed a bike from us (he rode my bro-in-law's bike). Hubby slept at about 3am the day before. The bikes need servicing. We took my bike from our Puchong house and his at Wangsa Maju house (wiping sweat from our foreheads...) to Bukit Jalil house.

My Scott Luna

We digged out all our MTB stuffs (bags, gloves, helmets, tools, tubes, bladders - which is already gone moldy inside and we decided to buy new ones, Hammer Gels, portable tyre pumps, cycling shoes & attires).

Top Left (clockwise) Met Stradivarius Helmet, Fox Glove, Adidas Cycling Shoes, Deuter Hydration Bag

I found out that my bike was not up to satisfaction where Hubby actually make major part swaps from my bike to my bro-in-law bike (as I was pregnant with Anne and Hubby some how cannot find any kaki to cycle). I asked Hubby, "Oh no...where's my Duke fork and disc brakes?"

Rock Shox Duke Front Suspension

I woke up the next day to prepare for the ride. We left from house with 3 bikes on top of Hubby's car.

Bikes On Thule

We filled up our stomachs with some bread and Milo, reached FRIM about 7am with a little bit of drizzle. I told Hubby, we won't be feeling the rain when we are in the jungle as there will be canopy above us. We met up at the FRIM library and set up our bikes. I was stoned when one of Hubby's friends, Wong brought his single speed bike.

You Don't Know What's Coming...

Arrogance or ignorance? We moved on to the trail head just after the mosque. It was a gradual uphill and Hubby warned the newbies to pace themselves. After 6 years of MTB experience, uphill is something that I am familiar of. Consistent slow speed, no hurry (this is not a race), keep breathing will keep me going all the way. Along the way, I passed by a spot which I am familiar of. Yes, it is the spot where I puked before due to poor skills. Wrong gears, heavy breakfast and not pacing myself resulted in this. This happens to Khoo today. Riding super fast and gulping too much air makes it no different than drinking 5 pints of beer. According to Hubby, this is something that newbies has to go through.

We lepak at the carpark for a while (the guys smoking themselves away on their 'healthy activity') before we head for breakfast. Not bad for a new start...

Tzyy Anne: My First Landed Property

Anne had her first 'bungalow' this afternoon while playing. She knocked her head on her un-conventional toys and instantly got herself hurt. Ah Ngien applied some ice to reduce the swell.

Not A Good Investment Though...

Tzyy Anne: Driving Range Experience

We took Anne to KSN Driving Range yesterday to watch Daddy and Sam Suk swing swing. Well, Anne only got the feel of the irons and clubs at home but have not really seen on how it's been used.

Daddy & Sam Suk in Action

However, it wasn't a pleasant experience for Anne at the driving range...
  • Anne was afraid of the sound when the club hit the ball (the loud 'ping' sound). Therefore, each time the person swing the club, Anne's eyes will blink, anticipating the club to hit the ball...poor Anne (Mummy don't think Anne will like it at the bowling alley either...)
  • Super hot even with extra fan
  • Mozzie pre-attack experience
  • Drops of water hitting each time Daddy & Sam Suk swing the club (water soaking in green carpet on the driving range)

Ah Ngien with the fan & Zhuinli Goo Goo preparing to close Anne's ears...

So for Anne's next birthday present, will it be one of these below?

Plastic Golf Set or Real Mini Golf Set?

Tzyy Anne: Birthday Celeb At TGI's!

It was Anne's birthday yesterday. We decided to go to TGI's Fridays in IOI Mall Puchong for the celebration.

Birthday Girl

We decided to order appetisers and entrées only as the portion is quite big. Daddy had dinner appointment earlier with his customers so he won't be eating much.

JD Burger, Chicken & Shrimp Diablo and Southwest Mac & Cheese

Therefore, if the family is unable to finish the meal, it will be Mummy's job to sapu everything. For your information, Anne was not the only birthday girl there. During our presence, there were 4 other birthday boys and girls also. Boy, pity those kitchen crews... Apparently, there was a boy named Brian who has the same birthday as Anne! Mummy wondered what time he was born...

Tzyy Anne: Jab Jab Warrior 3

Mummy bring Anne for her 1 year old this morning. As usual, Mummy got up at 6am, get everything ready and reached Kuchai Lama clinic by 7am. Usually, there was a long queue already in front of the clinic. However, there wasn't a single soul there. Mummy checked Anne's appointment card again & again. Mummy said, "It couldn't be wrong." Mummy went to the entrance to check for any closure sign and there wasn't any except for them to close on Raya holidays. Mummy was a bit worried also to wait at the entrance as we will be a target of bad guys. Mummy said, "Nevermine. It could be the H1N1 scare. People were just avoiding the crowd. About 15 minutes later, a mummy and her son queue behind us. Yes, we were the first to queue. Everything was fast including the jab (MMR - Measles, Mumps, Rubella Jab)...and there wasn't a single tear from our little princess, err, Mummy might say, our little warrior! Nurse jabbed on Anne's left arm. Nurse mentioned Anne will or might not get fever but it will in 5 days time if she does. Mummy asked the nurse to rephrase that again. 5 days time?! Hope Anne can react to the jab well. To Mummy, "No Pain, No Gain" Love, Anne.

Mummy, Semuanya Ditanggung Beres!
