Veron: Since The Days Of Alexander Graham Bell

I had my first handphone when I was a freshman in college. It was a NEC Primera (yea, the generation after 'Tai-Ko-Tai') owned previously by my dad. It was a very heavy hand held device with an antenna. (I didn't manage to find the picture over the Net...)Well, the phone serves as a GPS of me to my parents. Guess what, I can't make outgoing calls with this phone. Yes, despite having a handphone, I still need to search & painstakingly queue up to use the public phone. Whats annoying about this phone:

  • Its ringtone can be as loud that you can even hear it from 2 blocks away
  • The functionality is based on a combination of numbers (Is either you have to bring along the user manual to use it or you memorised the options in your head as it is not GUI)
  • The antenna always came off, so each time there's an in-coming call, I must make sure it is attached, else I can't hear clearly
  • It is can cause fatality if I throw and kena people's head

Into the 3rd year of college, my dad bought me an Alcatel. Mine one is pink in color. Not many people know about this series as it Alcatel will venture into a different product functions after this. It looks like a walkie-talkie though. The phone lasted me until the battery is unable to be used.

After I graduated, I worked as a part time sales assistant in FOS. That is where I got another phone. I can't remember what is the name of the model (it's a Motorola)but it is a candybar and the keypad looks like a butterfly shape. It was my first color display phone with polyphonic ringtone feature. I think this phone can actually lasted me for quite long until....

Alcatel One Touch Gum

...until I bought another Motorola. It was a C975. Yes, indeed my first 3G phone. It was quite expensive to own a 3G handphone at that time but I bought it for a fraction of a price. I bought it in UK for about RM400. I actually bought 2 of this. One I gave it to my dad as a gift. To my dissapointment, his one got stolen at his workplace. >.< 3G technology & phone is still very much expensive, so at that time, I syok sendiri aje lor.. The phone lasted me until the software becomes unstable and the battery started to take its toll. This is where I got the right alasan to get another phone...

Motorola C975

Its a Hewlett Packard IPAQ (the first generation). It uses Windows platform for its software, so its like using your computer in your palm lor. At first I was not used to this kinda system (I remember using bro's O2 candybar, I was totally lost!), but eventually I found it very useful and quite easy to navigate. This phone didn't last me for 1 year as Huby gave me his PDA to use.

HP IPAQ

Its a O2 Atom Exec PDA phone. Yes, it was a feeling of stylishness and sophistication when using this gadget. I try to explore the all aspects and features of this phone so that I can help my customers in solving their problems (I am a frontline executive in a prominent sales & service office automation company). This phone ALSO didn't lasted me to 1 year and I was presented this phone by Huby (I don't know what's the ocassion, giving birth to Anne perhaps?)

O2 Atom Exec

Before I tell you guys the phone that I am using now, as you can see from my previous phones...they are actually 'lang mun' (in Cantonese)phones. Phones that normal people will not buy. I even drive a 'lang mun' car (That was what the car salesperson told me... =.=)

My current phone is surprising a Nokia... o.O A brand which I hated and very anti. I don't know what went wrong and I can't believe myself I am using this now (Even Huby [and his collegues] also can't believe himself as he is also using Nokia now - yes, both of us used to be anti-Nokia). Back to owning a 3G phone again, this time the technology is much more affordable but I still do not have time to upgrade my SIM card to be able to use 3G. I really enjoy using this phone as it can store a lot of songs and have quick access to it.(like its name, 'ExpressMusic'). So, for you people out there, forget about getting me a MP3 player.. =.=

Tzyy Anne: A Day's Out

Mummy, Daddy & ZhuinLi Goo Goo brought Anne to 1 Utama today. This is because we are organizing a polaris early next year for our annual family gathering.

Ready To Go Jalan Jalan

Anne fell asleep on the way there in the car seat. I guess the bumpy journey make Anne sleep well.

On The Car Seat

Anne got hungry when we reach there. Mummy feed Anne in the car first before we proceed for our outing. We put Anne in the stroller. Anne was quiet and very observant throughout the day in the mall. Mummy bought a fan to be place on the stroller (Anne likes fan very much!). Daddy also brought Anne to the garden to see the fishes. Wow, the fishes here are sure bigger than the ones at home!

At The Garden

We also went to the concourse for photography session where DiGi is doing their roadshow. Guess who is there to greet us? The Yellow Man of course. Anne also disguised as the Yellow Man together with Daddy...

Yellow Man Wannabe

It was a maximum exposure day for Anne. Mummy hope she better have a good night sleep tonight. Else also nevermine, because this will be a long weekend...

Caryn: Birthday Party

I was invited to Caryn's birthday party (pronounciation of 'party': think Jack Black's character singing to Ramses in 'Nacho Libre') yesterday. Yeah, it's been a long time since I have attended birthday parties among our friends. I think since college..? Hubby & me arrived at her house about 7pm.. Most of Caryn's relatives were there. Didn't see any our friends there yet. Yes, appointment at 7pm but people will only start their journey out of the house at 7pm. I haven't been to Caryn's house like since college days.. (even though we meet up often now and then..). It was a barbeque party. Friends started to arrived at about 8pm. We started our meal half and hour later. All of us lepak at the porch while Caryn's family members all seated in the house. There were quite a variety of food such as chicken wings, sausages, fried noodles, cuttlefish, sandwiches, boiled potatoes and even home-made popcorn! I guess we enjoyed ourselves yesterday night...as usual cathing up among friends. I saw 2 familiar faces at the party, the 2 kids where Caryn's mom used to babysit. I realised how much they have grown. The last time I have seen them was when they were babies...Yeah, Caryn said, "Look at you...you even have a kid now.." It was fun. I wish I could stay longer. Unfortunately, my milk tank is full. We left at about 11pm. Break's over. Back to parenthood.

Tzyy Anne: Jab Jab Warrior

Ah Ngien brought Anne for jab session in HKL today. Mummy rushed from her workplace to the hospital to witness this event. The menu for today's immunization is...

  • 2nd dosage of Hep. B
  • DTaP: Diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis vaccine
  • Hib: Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine
  • Oral Polio Vacine
  • Measles vacine

Anne is still in dreamland when we reached the hospital. We were directed to a room where Anne is being laid down on the bed. Anne is being given Oral Polio first. Hmm..tastes funny one.. So cute, after that, Anne put both of her hands behind her head and continue sleeping. Oh oo, here comes the needle.. Anne's crying only lasted a few seconds and then she fell back to sleep again. This is what Mummy called...Anne, The Jab Jab Warrior.

Bro: Snapshot Warrior?!

I heard from my mom that bro bought a gadget for RM2k +... Its a Nikon camera. With that price tag, I know it must be a canggih thingy. I don't know he's into photography nowadays...

Ivan & Kelly: Walking Down The Aisle

I just attended my friend's wedding lunch just now. It was held in Noble Banquet, Jalan Bukit Bintang. They had a Volkswagen Touareg for the big occasion. As usual, restaurants along this road don't have many parking spaces. We parked at the back of the restaurant (some sort like lorong belakang..), and they charged us RM5 for that! This is the first time I attended a Chinese wedding lunch. Not much difference though, guests still arrived late..people still dressed in their formal wear, barebacks and stilettos (for women). Nice ambience..good lighting and music (think Diana Krall or Michael Bubblé). The food is one of the tastiest among all the Chinese wedding dinners that I have been to. The shark's fin soup is not usual slimy & starchy type. It is a broth with chicken, bamboo's pith and 'kei chi'. Typical Chinese wedding will have their toasting session, we called..Yum Seng session. Until this stage, I thought this lunch actually stands out among all the dinners that I have attended before...until THIS (please refer to the video featured below) came along. Immediately, jatuh ranking. I hope Hubby better arrange something like a jazz live band for his brother's wedding coming next January...

Mummy: Milk Plant Problem

Mummy's right breast got engorged yesterday evening (don't know tiba-tiba aje), aiks! As usual, she apply hot compress and massage. So frus, as the next day Mummy needs to work and the last time she got engorged, took her about a day to get back to normal. Luckily with the help of Anne, the engorgement is gone... Mummy was about to take Panadol for pain relief. It doesn't matter that Mummy got sleep deprived. As long as the engorgement is gone and the best thing, Anne still wants direct from Mummy! Huggies & Smoochies for Anne...

Tzyy Anne: Fist Licking Good

Mummy caught Anne putting her fist into her mouth. Anne's appettite also has increased. Therefore, Mummy has to work harder...Hiho, hiho...

Yummy drumstick

Mummy: Do You Feel The Blues?

A very sad thing happened to me yesterday. I feel that Anne is refusing my breast. She doesn't want to suckle anymore. My left breast is started to diminishing in supply. Sometimes I can only pump 1 oz per session. Each time this happens, Ah Ngien will take her away from me and give her formula. Everytime this happens, I always feel that I am a failure inside. Anne also seemed to spend more time with her other members of family than me. Sometimes I feel like a surrogate mother. I will start work the next day. It makes me miss Anne more because I can only spend time with Anne on weekends (as if...)
