Yesterday, we went back to Wangsa Maju for a badminton game. We stumbled upon a Proton Wira with left hand drive at the traffic light junction near our alma mater. We questioned about the left hand driving in the roads of Malaysia on how is the driver...
- ...pay the toll (unless he has a SMART TAG)?
- ...get a parking ticket is he enters the parking lot in shopping malls or his office perhaps?
- ...shocking discovery by the fast food fellow when he's talking to an empty seat?
Of course all of the above only applies when he is driving alone. This reminds me of a story related to me by my then French teacher, Christine. She took her family for a holiday in Melaka. She was too used to left hand driving back in France and she forgotten that she's in Malaysia! She drove to the road where the vehicles will be coming from the opposite direction. Luckily there were no cars coming. Phew! Back to the Proton Wira, is it worth to import such car to Malaysia (unless it has a sentimental value to the owner...)?
